  • Each student will receive 12 tickets and will be distributed to them during their Senior Check Out

Service Hour Reminder and Requirements

  • Senior Fees due by 2/21/2025
  • Service hours due by 3/28/2025
  • ILTexas requires that every senior has 15 hours of community service for every year enrolled in ILTexas. These hours are due to GHS by 3/28/2025. Please ensure that you get these completed and if you have questions please reach out to Mr. Brown or Ms. Espinoza. 
    • 60 hours are needed to be completed by all seniors if you have been here all 4 years. 
    • 45 if you've been here 3 years.
    • 30 if you've been here 2 years.
    • 15 if you've been here 1 year.

Statement of Decorum

The faculty and staff of International Leadership of Texas Garland High School congratulate you on your academic achievement and wish to ensure the commencement ceremony will be a fitting conclusion to this phase of your education. The commencement ceremony is, by its very nature, a festive, yet serious, occasion. The festivity manifests itself through caps and gowns worn by the graduates, the faculty adorned in academic regalia, the music provided by classmates and the words of encouragement from today’s speakers. The seriousness of the ceremony culminates with the certification of the graduate and conferring diplomas which signifies the  hard work  of everyone involved: students, faculty, administrators, parents and families. As a consequence of the serious nature of the ceremony everyone in attendance is expected to maintain the measure of decorum consistent with the occasion.
 
As such we would remind you that:
  1. Signs, fireworks, balloons, flowers, bottles, beach balls, cans, drugs, alcohol are not permitted.
  2. Noisemakers of any kind including, air horns, drums, and trumpets, are strictly prohibited.
  3. Cell phones, electronic devices and watch alarms should be silenced and/or powered down.
  4. Conversations and talking by guests during the ceremony are prohibited.
  5. Young children in need of attention or who are disruptive should be escorted out of the auditorium.
  6. Disruptive behavior of any kind including shouting, yelling or other demonstrations during the ceremony are prohibited.
  7. Family and guests are expected to remain seated for the entire ceremony, refrain from leaving their seats in order to take pictures, not to talk to graduates or leave prior to the conclusion of the ceremony.
Anyone violating the Statement of Decorum will be asked to leave and will be escorted out by security immediately.
